Flux Pavilion Feat. Childish Gambino, 'Do Or Die' (Funtcase Remix): First Listen

The dubstepper and Major Lazer collaborator brings the bass music back with help from fellow UK producer Funtcase

Flux Pavilion (aka Josh Steele) recorded a track with Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) for Flux’s “Blow The Roof” EP. Flux told us about their remote recording sessions earlier this year. Now their track “Do Or Die” has gotten an extended drum’n’bass re-work from UK producer Funtcase. Listen first here:

“Funtcase has been a brother of mine for years now,” Steele says of his collaborator. “His tunes have always had such a great sound and level of experimentation. He rung me within an hour of me sending him the parts and played me the intro, I knew instantly it was going to be a banger. I don't think that I was wrong.”

He’s not. Where the original leaned back, this version jumps up and punches the sky. For his spitfire, swag-spilling verse, Glover can rank this as his greatest accomplishment of 2013 thus far (no offense to that last season of “Community”).
