The Dutch trance superstar taps former boy-bander Trevor Guthrie for a stripped down version of their tune.
Armin van Buuren deserves any and all credit for reintroducing us to Trevor Guthrie. The last time most Americans heard the Canadian singer/songwriter was more than a decade ago when he was fronting oft-underrated boy band Soul Decision. Thanks to van Buuren’s “This Is What It Feels Like,” the trance superstar’s single from earlier this year that Guthrie co-wrote and provided vocals for, the former boy-bander is finding a whole new audience.
And while the original track is most delightfully Armin, Guthrie has made it his own in this playful acoustic video version. Watch as Guthrie strums his guitar, beats his drums, and runs around his house singing a stripped down version of the once amped-up tune. It might not be as pulse-pounding as watching Armin and Trevor drag race a couple of Mustangs through the desert as they did in the original video, but it’s still a good time.
