The two acclaimed DJs joined forces and brought garage and hip-hop heavy sets to Austin, Texas' festival last month. Watch the Boiler Room footage here.
March was a big month for Billboard cover boy Baauer. A few nights before he cranked out a set at Ultra Music Festival's second weekend, the young beatmaker chopped it up at the Boiler Room's Ray-Ban-sponsored SXSW showcase. He took turns with RL Grime (a.k.a. Henry Steinway, who also DJs and produces as Clockwork) in front of a crowd of 1200 people, not to mention the countless multitudes that caught the Boiler Room's event live stream of the party. But the rising trap stars had a trick up their sleeve: in addition to the hip-hop hits they've been known to bump, Baauer and RL Grime presented a slew of UK garage cuts.
The pair dealt out cuts from 2-step classics like Artful Dodger and Craig David's "Rewind" alongside contemporary garage tunes by Joy Orbison and rap hits from A$AP Rocky. Fortunately for those who didn't catch their back-to-back performance as it unfolded, we've got the archived footage, so we can relive the moment whenever, wherever.
