The usual suspects populate Billboard and Clio's Top Commercials chart, powered by Shazam, but at No. 4, a new challenger arrives, and you've probably seen him eat more cookies on TV than you've consumed your entire life.

Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle" debuts at No. 4 on the March Top Commercials chart due to its synch in a newly premiered Apple ad starring Sesame Street's Cookie Monster as he undergoes the tedious process of waiting for his cookies to be ready from the oven. He breaks out a playlist for the occasion, and naturally, Croce's 1972 classic is the first song to pop up.

Using tagging data from Shazam, as well as sales and streaming information tracked by Nielsen Music, Billboard partners with Clio Music each month to present a chart ranking the top songs in commercials. Rankings exclude any song that has recently charted within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.

The track starts at No. 4 after the ad was Shazammed 67,000 times following its March 16 premiere, sold 19,000 downloads and was streamed 1.2 million times in the U.S. during March, according to Nielsen Music. Its biggest sales week in March was the tracking week ending March 31, when it sold 11,000 downloads, preceded by sales of 6,000 (week ending March 24) and 2,000 (ending March 17). Before the commercial's air date, the song regularly sold less than 1,000 copies a week.

Renewed interest in "Bottle" brought it back to Billboard charts for the first time since 1973, when the folk song spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It's reached No. 18 on the Rock Digital Songs chart and makes its debut on the Hot Rock Songs ranking (dated April 23) at No. 20 on the strength of its sales and streams.

Empire of the Sun's "Walking on a Dream" leads Top Commercials for the third month in a row. In March, the song was downloaded 27,000 times and drew 5.2 million domestic streams to go along with 107,000 Shazam tags. Its appearance in Honda's "The Dreamer" ad continues to pay dividends, and the track's renewed radio push nearly a decade after its initial release has spurred it to peaks of No. 3 on Alternative Songs and No. 6 on Hot Rock Songs.

"Candyman," the high-profile teaming of Zedd and Aloe Blacc, via the new M&Ms ad of the same name, which premiered Feb. 29, lands at No. 5 on Top Commercials. Along with 7,000 Shazam tags, the song managed 54,000 downloads and was streamed 5.3 million times in the U.S. in March. The ad celebrates 75 years for the candy company, and the Zedd-produced, Blacc-sung track is a remake of "The Candy Man," the 1971 song written for the movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and performed by Aubrey Woods in the film and Sammy Davis Jr. the next year. The latter version became Davis' only No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, reigning for three weeks in June 1972.
