"Adventure of a Lifetime" becomes Coldplay's third Alternative Songs No. 1.

Coldplay crowns Billboard's Alternative Songs chart (dated Feb. 20), as the band notches its third leader on the chart with "Adventure of a Lifetime" (2-1).

"Adventure" follows prior leaders "Viva La Vida" (two weeks, beginning Aug. 30, 2008) and "Paradise" (Dec. 13, 2011). It also rebounds for a sixth week atop Adult Alternative Songs and hits a new high on the Billboard Hot 100 (45-36).

Super Bowl Propels Coldplay's 'A Head Full of Dreams' to No. 1 in U.K.

The song should surge even further on the Feb. 27 Hot 100 after Coldplay performed the track at the Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show, also featuring Beyonce and Bruno Mars, Feb. 7.

Meanwhile, The Lumineers return with "Ophelia," which enters Rock Airplay at No. 39 with 1.6 million in audience (after less than three days of airplay), according to Nielsen Music. After its first full week of plays, the song should make a splashy debut on both the Adult Alternative Songs and Alternative Songs charts next week.

The folk-rock trio's sophomore album Cleopatra is due April 8. Its self-titled 2012 debut yielded the twin eight-week Adult Alternative Songs No. 1s "Ho Hey" (also a No. 3 Hot 100 hit) and "Stubborn Love" and has sold 1.7 million copies.
