Kylie Minogue 'Grateful' For Latest Dance/Club Play Songs No. 1

Kylie Minogue claims her fifth consecutive No. 1 and eighth overall on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs chart, as "Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)" rises 2-1.

It's the diva's fourth leader from her 2010 album "Aphrodite," its entire output of club singles. The set previously spun off the No. 1s "All the Lovers," "Get Outta My Way" and "Better Than Today."

"Fantastic news that 'Put Your Hands Up' has gone to No. 1 on the Billboard chart," Minogue tells Billboard exclusively. "That's a full house for 'Aphrodite'! I'm so grateful for all the support this album has had. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"Put Your Hands Up" reaches the summit courtesy of reported play of both the original album version and remixes by Pete Hammond (version below), Nervo, Bimbo Jones and Basto.

Minogue made chart history when "Better Than Today" reached No. 1 on Dance/Club Play Songs. As it perched atop the March 5 tally, Taio Cruz's "Higher," featuring Minogue and Travie McCoy, climbed 4-3. Her holding of the Nos. 1 and 3 spots made her the first act to claim two of the top three ranks concurrently in the chart's almost 35-year archives. ("Higher" ascended to No. 1 three weeks later).

"Aphrodite" peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard 200, marking Minogue's second-highest-charting set. Only 2002's "Fever" performed better, having debuted and peaked at No. 3.

Minogue concluded her Aphrodite Les Folies/Aphrodite Live world tour in Cape Town, South Africa, July 14. The 77-show trek launched Feb. 19 in Herning, Denmark, and visited more than 20 countries. Of the 41 concerts reported to Billboard Boxscore, Minogue grossed $32.5 million.

Here is a recap of Minogue's eight No. 1s on Dance/Club Play Songs. She first reigned in 2002, despite having first graced the list 14 years earlier, when "I Should Be So Lucky" peaked at No. 10. (Follow-up "The Locomotion" chugged to No. 12 in 1988 and became her first top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching No. 3).
