Stars Dance," Selena Gomez's fourth studio album and first as a solo artist, has a great shot at debuting in the top spot on next week's Billboard 200 chart after being released on Tuesday (July 23). The achievement would mark the pop singer's first No. 1 album, and while catching up with Billboard at her Dream Out Loud fall collection launch in New York on Wednesday (July 24), Gomez expressed excitement over the possibility of "Stars" dancing to the chart summit.
"It makes me feel really humble," says Gomez, "because this is my fourth record. I've worked really hard on my music; to have a first No. 1 is really humbling… Hopefully there will be a No. 1. That would be amazing! I don't even know what I'd do."
Gomez also discussed the decision to follow "Come & Get It," her first-ever Top 10 hit, with "Slow Down," as well as the feeling of having her most personal lyrics to date digested by millions of fans.
