Bicycle Music Company Promotes Jake Wisely to CEO
Jake Wisely has been promoted to CEO of Bicycle Music and will now oversee all music publishing, licensing and rights management for the music publisher as well as its sister company Concord Music Group. Wisely will report to group CEO Scott Pascucci.
The Bicycle/Concord repertoire takes in more than 9,000 albums and 60,000 compositions. Its music publishing assets include a stake in such songs as "Always On My Mind," "Bust A Move," "Eye Of The Tiger," "Guantanamera," "Lady Sings The Blues," "Let Your Love Flow," "Man In The Mirror," "Sister Christian," "Slow Ride," "Stand By Your Man," "Time After Time," and the songs from A Chorus Line.
"Jake has been an integral member of the management team responsible for building the Bicycle Music Company to its current leadership role in the industry," Pascucci said in a statement. "With his added responsibilities overseeing rights management and licensing for both Bicycle and Concord Music, he will be able to make even greater contributions on behalf of our writers, artists and label partners."
A 30-year industry veteran, Wisely previously founded independent record label Red Decibel and was the Chicago ASCAP director of membership. He has also worked at EMI Music Publishing and Universal Music Publishing, among other endeavors.
