A2IM Names Molly Neuman VP, Jen Masset Promoted to Senior Director Membership Services

American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) has announced a number of new staff changes that include the promotion of Jennifer Masset to senior director membership services and the addition of three new employees, including new vp Molly Neuman. The new team members will help to build A2IM’s growing membership of more than 340 independent record labels.

Masset first joined A2IM in 2009 and now has nearly 20 years experience with independent labels, working as U.S. label manager for !K7 Label Group previously. She also serves on the advisory board for SXSW Music Accelerator. 

In her new capacity as vice president Neuman will replace the former vp Jim Mahoney, who is moving to global independent music rights agency Merlin. As a founding board member, Neuman served on the board from 2004-2011. She now rejoins the organization coming from Rhapsody International, where she worked with labels and publishing partners as senior director of label and publishing licensing. She has previous experience with eMusic.com, as well, where she worked for seven years as vp label relations.

Fawn Goodman also joins the staff as director of industry relations and communications, after eight years at Warner Music as director of marketing. And Marcus Assenmacher joins as operations manager, coming from Robot of the Century Music where he was director of A&R.
