Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross to Speak at Billboard & Hollywood Reporter Conference
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will deliver the Keynote Q&A at the 2014 Billboard + Hollywood Reporter Film & TV Music Conference, taking place on Nov. 5 and 6 in Los Angeles.
For the Keynote Q&A panel, Reznor, and Ross will discuss their most recent work on the score for Gone Girl. Hollywood Reporter and Billboard music editor Shirley Halperin will moderate.
Gone Girl is the third partnership between Reznor and Ross, and director David Fincher, following Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and The Social Network, for which Reznor won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe.
While perhaps best known as the founder and sole member of the groundbreaking industrial music project Nine Inch Nails, Reznor is a multi-talented creative force whose drive and passion has extended to film, video games, and digital music services. Reznor has also taken on the role of product visionary and artist advocate behind the Beats Music service, where he serves as Chief Creative Officer. Working alongside founder Jimmy Iovine and CEO Ian Rogers, Reznor’s vision of a music service that could deliver contextually relevant playlists made by real music experts has become a reality.
Ross broke into film and TV composing by working with the Hughes brothers on their TV series Touching Evil and films New York I Love You and The Book of Eli. Besides his composing and producing work with Reznor on Nine Inch Nails and How to Destroy Angles, Ross has scored Ariel-winning Mexican film Days of Grace, Broken City and the upcoming film on Brian Wilson, Love and Mercy.
Now in it’s 12th year, the Billboard + Hollywood Reporter Film & TV Conference is a cutting-edge, two-day seminar on the role of music in film and television. The highly anticipated conference offers attendees the unique opportunity to learn from, network, and expose their music directly to the best music supervisors, composers, directors, music editors, songwriters, and producers in the business. The event also provides a dynamic forum for the exchange of ideas, featuring roundtable discussions, and other networking opportunities.
