Lucy Hale: 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Audition Was 'Awkward'
Lucy Hale recently talked to MTV News about auditioning for raunchy novel-turned-movie, “Fifty Shades of Grey," explaining that it was "awkward."
“It was unlike any audition I have ever done before in my life,” Hale said. “It was like a two-page monologue of dialogue of exactly what you would think it would be. Very uncomfortable,”
Hale was attracted to the role of Anastasia Steele, as it was a chance to do something “different.” However, actress Dakota Johnson was given the coveted part, which is probably for the best, as Hale did not “want [her] grandmother watching.”
Hale’s debut album, Road Between, was released on June 3rd.
