Grouplove and Portugal. The Man are among the performers booked for the 2014 Honda Civic Tour, which this year evolves into a triple threat with three successive tours, each with a distinct music flavor.

The alternative rock outfits are billed as summer co-headliners, with Tokyo Police Club and Typhoon supporting on various dates kicking off on Aug. 10 in Seattle, WA (Typhoon will open the first show).

Brooklyn-based pop/rock band American Authors will top the second of the three tours, a fall run that begins on Oct. 1.  Also, Latin DJ trio 3BallMTY will lead the final trek of the series starting mid-November.

“I would say that this is the dream tour,” comments Grouplove vocalist/keyboardist Hannah Hooper in a statement. “Honda is really invested in all art forms and connecting music with fans.”

Headliners on the tour are treated to more than just the spotlight; they design their own custom Honda Civic. Grouplove and Portugal. The Man are expected to collaborate on an original design, while American Authors and 3BallMTY will each showcase their creative designs later in the year, organizers say.
