On many of these tracks, William Bell sounds years younger than his actual age. Intense rompers like "Passion," "That's What You Get," and "Whatever You Want (You Got It)," a duet with Janice Bullock, should have made somebody's Urban Contemporary rotation. Bell never strays far from his Southern soul roots -- "Lovin' on Borrowed Time," "Let Him Pay the Band," and "I Don't Want to Wake Up (Feelin' Guilty)," another duet with Bullock, all attest to that. "Headline News" is a floating midtempo number, featuring female backup singers crooning deliciously behind Bell's matter-of-fact delivery. The infectious "I'm Lighting Somebody Else's Fire" is an adultery tale sung to a reggae beat. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
