While any album that contains the baggage of guest "celebrities" Kaye Stevens and George Kirby putting in their two cents' worth on "When I Lay My Burden Down," can't be judged a complete success, this still has enough creditable performances to overcome that fiasco. The group was in turmoil behind the scenes, but you wouldn't know it from the organization, class, and charm they display on this television outing. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
