Sincerely - The Emotions

AMG Review

The Emotions regrouped on a new label in the mid-'80s and seemed about to recapture their past glory. This album was their most exuberantly sung and tightly produced since the late '70s, but unfortunately times had changed, and their brand of Southern, gospel-inflected "deep" soul no longer packed much punch above the Mason-Dixon line. They were able to get three singles on the charts, but none were big hits. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
