Mexican singer/actor Rogelio Martinez became a chart-topping artist with a Spanish version of Shania Twain's "You're Still the One" called "Y Sigues Siendo Tú" and the hit singles "Aqui Estoy Yo" and "Amame," featured on his 2001 album Un Sueño de Amor. Produced in the U.S. by Omar and Adolfo Valenzuela, the 13-track record Atrevete a Olvidarme (Dare to Forget Me) comprises traditional Mexican and Latin pop songs, including two versions of Alih Jey's "It's OK" and covers of "I'm Still in Love," and "How Do I Live." Even if Atrevete a Olvidarme is less captivating than his previous work, Rogelio Martinez accomplishes his goal of getting closer to the contemporary Latin pop music scene. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
