Milagros - Myra

(2001)
AMG Review

Charismatic, energetic, and sentimental Myra (born Mayra Carol Ambria Quintana) became involved in the Latin pop scene with her first crossover record, following her English-language self-titled debut album. After opening with "Vete Ya," Myra offers a dance-pop electric funk-flavored song called "Bailador" (Dancer), followed by the techno-oriented "Prisionera de Tu Amor" (Prisioner of Your Love), and the club/dance song "Siempre Hay Milagros" (There Are Always Miracles). After a romantic ballad called "Sueño de Tu Amor" (Dream of Your Love), a surprising Latin pop version of "Dancing in the Streets" emerges as "Bailando en la Ciudad," followed by the urban hip-hop of "¿Qué Te Crees?." Myra's Milagros delivers 13 cheerful and enjoyable songs. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
