Buenos Muchachos - La Mosca Tse Tse

(2006)
AMG Review

Buenos Muchachos followed the top-selling and award-winning Vísperas de Carnaval by keeping La Mosca Tsé Tsé's well-known mix of rock and traditional Afro-Caribbean and Latin rhythms. This record opens with the hit single "Todos Tenemos un Amor," turning into Latin pop/rock with "No Me Rompas La Cabeza," and then moving to Brazilian batucada with "Hoy Estoy Peor Que Ayer." With the addition of new guitarist Martín Cardoso, Buenos Muchachos delivers the well-crafted Latin ska songs "Te Quiero Comer la Boca" and "Quiero Verte Mal," a Jamaican reggae song titled "Mujer," and a surprising acoustic song called "Madrid Amaneció." The bossa nova "Todo Pasa," the Mexican corrido "Buenos Muchachos," and the tango-inflected "Me Dejaste Seco y Frito" are among the most interesting tracks. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
