The second album for David Peaston was frustrating and put his career into a spin from which it hasn't recovered. Although he possessed a magnetic, glorious voice with a deep, rich sound ideal for heartache ballads, he also needed quality material with strong lyrics, since he wasn't a songwriter. He didn't get it on this record, and the results were a disappointing collection of throwaway urban contemporary tracks ill-suited to his delivery and approach. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
