Through the Eyes of a Don - Cap.One

(2000)
AMG Review

Although still a rookie, Cap.One has positioned himself to be one of Chicago's leading hopefuls, dropping his first album in 2000 with a solid cast of cameo appearances. The album is mainly a thug-life introspective, with solid production, and a flow more polished and advanced than many of the MCs who have been around much longer. Unfortunately, in lyrical content and topics he falls short, throwing himself in with the likes of rappers such as Drag On and Shyne. Overall this was a solid effort for Cap, and if and when he drops a second album with a broader scope, it will be welcome. ~ Brad Mills, All Music Guide
