English rock band Coldplay's sophomore album sold a quarter of a million copies in its first week to give the act an instant No. 1 on the new U.K. album sales chart, unveiled yesterday (Sept. 1). The highly anticipated "A Rush of Blood to the Head" (Parlophone) outsold R&B trio Sugababes' "Angels With Dirty Faces" (Universal-Island), which bowed at No. 2.
