The RZA -- rapper, "supreme abbot" and head production guru of the Wu-Tang Clan -- has signed an exclusive worldwide recording deal with Sanctuary Records Group. His solo debut as RZA, "Birth of a Prince," is due Oct. 7 on Wu Records/Sanctuary Records.
When "The Sting," the sophomore album from Wu-Tang Clan side project Killa Beez, is released on Tuesday (March 12), the In The Paint/Koch set will include a second disc of new RZA as Bobby Digital tracks. The six-track limited-edition bonus disc will back up the new 17-track Beez album, helmed by chief Wu-Tang producer RZA, with group members Inspectah Deck and U-God.
New York-based rap supergroup Wu-Tang Clan is set to drop "Iron Flag," its fourth album and second in as many years, this month. Following close in the footsteps of last year's "The W," the album is due Dec. 18 on Loud Records.
