R&B singer Trey Songz is aiming for his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. His new album, "Chapter V," is on course to sell between 110,000 to 130,000 copies by Aug. 26. Other albums in the hunt for a high debut next week include DJ Khaled's "Kiss the Ring," Owl City's "Midsummer Station" and Tenth Avenue North's "The Struggle."
Next week on the Billboard 200 albums chart, not only will the very top of the chart welcome handsome debuts from both Link Park's "A Thousand Suns" and Trey Songz's "Passion, Pain & Pleasure," but there may be up to six new entries in the top 10.
Industry prognosticators suggest that Linkin Park's new set, "A Thousand Suns," could sell as much as 250,000 to 260,000 by Sept. 19. Trey Songz is nipping at Linkin's heels as his new "Passion, Pain & Pleasure" album could be looking to move between 230,000 and 250,000.
