On this two-disc set, Jars of Clay serves up 21 songs, reprising such hits as "Flood," "Five Candles," and "I Need You" and delivering three previously unreleased tracks ("Redemption," "Dig," and the first single, "The Valley Song [Sing of Your Mercy]").
The Dixie Chicks have solidified an Aug. 27 release date for their next album, "Home." The set will be released on Open Wide Records, an imprint newly created by the country trio and Sony Music Entertainment (SME). The newly formed label and album follow months of legal wrangling with SME over the group's allegations of "material misconduct and material breaches."
The seventh volume in the "NOW! That's What I Call Music" hits compilation series has been certified gold, platinum, and double-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Released July 31, the set's first review revealed U.S. shipments of 2 million copies (500,000 for gold, 1 million for platinum).
