One of the biggest Latin Grammy Award honors goes to those who have created some of the most memorable songs of the year. It's a category that recognizes the creative process by honoring the songwriter, as opposed to record of the year, which is bestowed to the recording artist and producer.
This week on the Billboard 200, Lionel Richie claimed his third No. 1 album with the rise of "Tuskegee" (129,000 sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan, up 35%). He might even stick around for a second week on the list if he can fight off Jason Mraz's new album, "Love is a Four Letter Word." Both sets could sell around 100,000 by week's end on April 22, industry sources say.
2006 - Apple Computer launches a new mini-store within the U.S. version of the iTunes Music Store dedicated to Latin music and entertainment. iTunes Latino features top Latin music, music videos, television shows, audiobooks and podcasts.
